Beauty of Antarctica

Please, step into the world of ice...

Last Saturday Emily and I took Skidoos out for a water sampling trip. The weather was brilliant with a blue sky and no wind. We visited an ice cave in the Mt. Erebus Glacier Tongue, a melting glacier (thanks to the FSTP folks who flagged the route!), and a large crack freshly broken open by the pressure of the Barne Glacier. It was an absolutely beautiful day. All the different forms of frozen water left me speechless.
