Directions to Southern California Marine Institute:
Corlis Baranyk has arranged shuttles for everyone to take them from their hotel to SCMI. All details should have been emailed to everyone, but in case you didn’t receive the info, here is a brief summary:
For those of you flying into LAX, please meet in the lounge area of the Radisson Hotel at the Los Angeles Airport. The address is 6225 W Century Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Their phone number is: 1-310-670-9000. You can call them and ask that they send a shuttle to take you to the hotel. You can also take a taxi from the airport.
For those of you flying into LGB, please meet in the lounge area of the Holiday Inn Long Beach. The address is 2640 N Lakewood Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90815. Their phone number is: 1-562-597-4401. You can call them and ask that they send a shuttle to take you to the hotel. You can also take a taxi from the airport.
Please wait at the hotel nearest to the airport you are flying into. At approximately 2:45pm (May 6th), Prime Time Shuttles will come to take you and your luggage to SCMI. You will all board the Gladys, the boat that will be taking you to the Wrigley Institute at Two Harbors.
For those of you driving or taking alternative transportation to SCMI, please contact Katie Chvostal if you get lost, are running late, or cannot figure out where to park. When you return from Catalina to SCMI, we will have the same shuttles take everyone to their respective airports. Let the driver know what airline you are flying.
For those of you who have already arranged to leave on Sunday, taking the Catalina Express is the easiest way off the island from Two Harbors. It will leave on Sunday at 2:00pm sharp. For scheduling and fare info, see their website:
